Hours: 7
St. Mary's is a special school for pupils with designated abilities termed moderate and severe and profound general learning disabilities. Some pupils may have an additional diagnosis of autism.
Senior pupils follow the Junior Cycle Level 1 Learning Programme, alongside the primary curriculum.
There are six pupils in each class. External tutors are supported by the class teacher and by three or four special needs assistants in each class.
Previous teaching experience in a special education setting and knowledge of primary curriculum/ level 1 learning programmes/music therapy would be desirable.
